Why odd and even dimensions build differently

An odd width has a single center block, while an even width has a center gap between blocks. That changes symmetry, entrances, walls, and how multiple layers line up. Choose the dimensions based on the structure you want, not only on the outside diameter.

The highlighted build guide is most useful when you complete one row or layer at a time. Marking progress reduces mirrored mistakes on large circles, domes, and spheres.

Plan large shapes before committing materials

Prototype a small section with temporary blocks to confirm thickness and curvature. Large voxel shapes can look very different from ground level than they do in a flat grid.

For hollow structures, decide wall thickness, floor height, and access points before building the full outline. Export or keep the pattern visible on a second screen so each completed line can be checked consistently.

How to use it

  • Pick your shape (circle, ellipse, square, rectangle, or triangle) and set dimensions.
  • Use outline mode for walls, towers, and portals. Switch to filled for floors and solid structures.
  • Follow the build guide: each row is labeled with coordinates like A1, C4, or H12 so you know exactly where to place blocks.
  • Enable Show Coordinates to see column letters and row numbers on the live preview.
  • Mark each row as completed to track your construction progress across the entire shape.

Frequently asked questions

How does the build guide work?

The build guide shows each row of your shape with exact coordinates. Columns use letters (A, B, C) and rows use numbers (1, 2, 3). Consecutive blocks are grouped into ranges like A1–C1. Navigate step by step and mark rows as completed to track your progress.

What radius works best for a tower?

A radius between 6 and 12 is a solid starting point for small to medium towers. Larger radii = smoother curves.

Can I use these shapes in other block games?

Yes. The grid is generic and works for Hytale-style builds as well as any voxel or block-based game.

Does this use official Hytale block IDs?

No. The generator focuses on shape planning and coordinates only. You choose the blocks when building.
